EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS PROFILE
The Conference Board of Canada’s Employability Skills Profile 2000+ identifies key skills required in the Canadian workplace. The following is my self-assessment of some of these important skills that I possess: |
FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS
· Good computer knowledge; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, FrontPage
· Worked my way from employee to manager at three different positions
· Bartending Course (Algonquin College), Smart Serve
· Management placement at KI, shadowing all managers in their fields
PERSONAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS
· Worked at least two jobs at one time since the age of fourteen
· OSSD completed with honours, Ontario Scholar (OAC average over 80%)
· College graduate with honours (on Dean’s List), while holding two jobs
· Own car and have invested wisely in RRSP’s since high school; purchased house in 2004.
· Financially independent since age of 18
TEAMWORK SKILLS
· Worked in the service industry for the last 10 years developing great teamwork abilities
· Participated in numerous group projects, where I was both the leader and a team player.
Projects involved mission, rectifying the problem, and presentation to the company (i.e.- My Music)
· Have managed employees twice my age, working together as a team
· Completed swimming lessons through to Bronze Cross
